Your Role:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of solar photovoltaic and energy storage projects, from the technical design phase to commissioning. You will be part of SunBuild’s engineering team, collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and local authorities to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual and execution plans for large-scale solar photovoltaic installations.

• Conduct complex site studies with the support of external experts (geotechnical surveys, topography, shading analysis, etc.).

• Perform sensitivity analyses on energy yield modeling for large-scale solar and storage systems.

• Prepare calculation reports for regulatory and control bodies.

• Provide technical advice to internal and external project stakeholders, including public authorities, clients, and subcontractors.

• Support the Sales and Development Department with technical input for the preparation and presentation of project proposals.

• Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

• Proactively ensure compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, and safety practices within the company, industry, and commercial sectors.

Your Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy sector.

• Strong knowledge of DC/AC electrical systems, including SLDs, low-voltage panels, and cable sizing (experience with Caneco software is a plus).

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.

• Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all project stakeholders.

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

• Team player with flexibility and reliability.

• Native French speaker with fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

• A drone pilot license is an asset.
